Meant to revisit this one for a while and got an unusual reminder yesterday.
Artificial Brain - Labyrinth Constellation LP
War on Music
@sandyxsludge and I are currently watching that somewhat corny 'Limitless' show on Netflix and the main character got this LP.
Gotta say, I'm not a huge fan of the show, but the Metal plugs are pretty entertaining. Jungle Rot, Baroness, Skeletonwitch and even Black Flag creep in.
It made me blast away 'Labyrinth Constellation', so how bad of a show can it really be... ...
NOCTURNUS AD have completed work on their debut album “Paradox” set for release on May 24 on CD/2xLP/Digital/Cassette and now available for pre-order (link in bio). Listen to a new song “Precession Of The Equinoxes” on our YouTube channel, Spotify, Bandcamp, Apple Music
Resurrected from the ashes of one of the most influential death metal bands of all time, Nocturnus, NOCTURNUS AD was initiated by Nocturnus founder/mastermind/death metal legend Mike Browning (also Morbid Angel co-founder) to continue the path that was laid down, almost 29 years later, by the legendary Florida death metal band’s seminal 1990 album “The Key”, an album recognized as one of the most important death metal albums of all time. “Paradox” is the direct and proper follow-up and follows the aftermath of the events that went down in “The Key”
On a musical plane, “Paradox’s” otherworldly, technical dark atmospheric occult death metal blueprint harnesses and carries on the energy of “The Key” and the overall cult death metal vibe of the early ‘90s in the singular forward-thinking way that Nocturnus exhibited. Musically overwhelming and pretty much a sonic attack on the senses from every angle, “Paradox” is sci-fi death metal reclaiming its throne back to its originators. With Browning (first time back on the Nocturnus vessel since 1992) commanding the craft, through his precision drumming and distinct vocals spewing the incantations, alongside a lineup that continues the Nocturnus legacy through guitarists Demian Heftel and Belial Koblack, bassist Daniel Tucker (ex-Obituary), and keyboardist Josh Holdren.
Produced by @jarrett 1973 at @newconstellationrmp and featuring artwork by Timbul Cahyono, track listing for “Paradox” goes as follows: •
1. Seizing The Throne
2. The Bandar Sign
4. Precession of The Equinoxes
5. The Antechamber
6. The Return of The Lost Key
8. Aeon of The Ancient Ones
9. Number 9
