If you zoom in reallly close you can see a tiny tear in the corner of the little boys eye and the story behind the tear is why I decided to not photoshop it out — he had a little moment of being over it (been there buddy) and realized none of us were giving up just yet so he decided it was finally time to pick himself a damn flower without anyone telling him to do so, and.... INSTANT JOY 🥳😄✨ and that is why I decided to leave the tear. It tells the exact story of this organic and beautiful family moment and that’s what this photo takin stuff is all about IMO ❤️ ...
I find it almost humorous that in Psalms David writes about how the Lord knows our every thought before we have it (even the terrible ones)
He knows when we sit and we stand (even when we’re not where we’re supposed to be)
He is aware of all our ways (even the ones that don’t line up with His) YET STILL, we are labeled fearfully and wonderfully made.
What we see as mud stains, God sees as dry dirt that can simply be wiped away.
You’re enough where you are. You’re fearfully and wonderfully made not when you clean up and strive to achieve greatness, but simply because He thought of you. Yes, even the messy parts of you. Actually — ESPECIALLY the messy parts of you.
Don’t shy away from who you are or what your story is. HE has enough grace for your chaos. Rest in that truth today. ...
New Blog Post: Why I Breastsleep to get More Sleep.
I'm pretty sure my tupuna (ancestors) would be laughing at me for explaining something that human mother's have done for thousands of years. I'm pretty sure my my mum even told me to lay down with Ailia, but of course I didn't listen (sorry Mum!) Breastsleeping was something I needed to learn myself. It's made such a huge impact to my breastfeeding journey and the reason I was able to breastfeed so long with Ailia and will attempt to with Liam. No judgment to other journeys people have taken, this is for a sleep deprived mum on the couch at 4am, googling to see if there's another way.
