Light and darkness exist within all of us simultaneously.
We are multifaceted beings and these contradictory factors make us interesting and human.
We are not meant to be put into boxes, nor to be shamed for experiencing either end of the spectrum. We make snap judgements because it’s easier to categorize people this way, but there are many problems with this method.
I try to spread light to others and not judge them whenever I can because of the times in my life that I have been so consumed with darkness and harshly judged. I wished I had a small light or direction to follow. I wished for a tiny glimmer of hope or an encouraging word or for someone out there to just tell me that I am going to be ok or that I am fine the way I am. To forgive me for being human. •
I am far from perfect, and I do not have all the answers. I, too, am still searching and trying to figure out this thing called life. I just feel compelled to share some of the things I have figured out along the way in case they can help others to avoid some of the pain I have suffered. •
I still make snap judgements and mistakes due to my own filters and biases but all we can do is recognize our mistakes and do better next time.
I guess what I am trying to say is don’t put people on pedestals. Just remember that even though someone is wonderful or kind and has done something special or exceptional they are also just people, no greater or lesser than yourself.
Even the most beautiful or famous or wealthy or successful people are also human. Sometimes we are up, sometimes we are down, but all of us are here just trying to figure it out❤️
